Milton CAT is seeking an experienced Level I Shop Service Technician to diagnose, repair, recondition, overhaul and maintain CAT heavy equipment including skid steers, excavators, and wheel loaders. The role involves advanced troubleshooting, parts replacement, and testing in a state-of-the-art facility.

The position offers a union wage range of $44.78–$49.25 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a privately held, Northeast CAT distributor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; five years on CAT or similar equipment.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing CAT heavy equipment and components.
• Strong problem solving, math skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, re-build, repair and test parts on construction equipment.
• Disassemble/assemble components and install parts.
• Identify root causes and determine reuse of parts per Caterpillar guidelines.
• Order correct replacement parts and maintain tool inventory.
• Prepare service reports and inspection/appraisal documentation.
• Work flexible hours for emergencies or routine service as required.
