Job summary

Foley Power Solutions is seeking a hands-on Diesel Mechanic to perform repair and preventative maintenance on a variety of systems in a busy shop environment. The role requires lifting heavy components, operating hand and power tools, and working at heights with safety as a priority.

You will read specifications, manuals, and bulletins, and may be required to obtain or hold a Class A CDL. Prior diesel mechanics experience is preferred to help maintain equipment efficiently and safely.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, and instruments.
• Understand crane hoist and rigging equipment (preferred).
• Forklift experience (preferred).
• Ability to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, and other related publications.
• Class A CDL required or ability to obtain CDL within three months of start date.
• Valid CDL license required.
• Experience working within the diesel mechanics industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on all systems.
• Hands-on mechanical work in a shop environment.
• Safely and repeatedly lift components weighing up to 115 pounds without assistance.
• Safely lift, carry, and lower components weighing up to 65 pounds without assistance.
• Frequent pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy materials.
• Climb on and off equipment and work at varying heights.
• Stand, bend, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods.
• Safely operate tools and equipment.
