Job summary

Gulf Coast JCB in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Service Advisor to be the primary contact for customers and to coordinate service work. You will prepare estimates, manage work orders, support the Parts Department, and help ensure timely repairs while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The role requires at least 3 years in heavy equipment service operations, strong communication, and proficiency with office and dealership systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in heavy equipment or related service operations.
• Experience as Service Advisor, Service Coordinator, Parts Advisor, or Service Admin preferred.
• Experience with CDK platforms such as e-Emphasys or IntelliDealer is a plus.
• Associate degree or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary customer contact for service inquiries.
• Open, maintain, and close service work orders accurately.
• Communicate repair status, estimates, approvals, and completions to customers.
• Coordinate shop and field service work with the Service Manager.
• Prepare and communicate repair estimates and service recommendations.
• Assist with warranty administration and claim documentation.
• Support Parts Department to ensure parts availability and job readiness.
• Assist with billing accuracy and timely invoicing.
