Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the Fort Johnson South area to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on a range of heavy machinery. You will diagnose defects, dismantle and rebuild components, test equipment, and ensure compliance with Technical Manuals.

The role requires five or more years of hands-on experience, a valid Class A CDL, ability to obtain site credentials, and the physical ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years’ experience in heavy machinery maintenance.
• Ability to obtain site credentials and a Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Operates and inspects equipment to diagnose defects.
• Dismantles and reassembles equipment using manuals and tools.
• Replaces engines and subassemblies and tests repaired equipment.
• Maintains safety and quality per Technical Manual instructions.
