• Experience working with dirt and asphalt construction equipment preferred.
• Technical certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training in heavy equipment preventative maintenance.
• Perform inspections, adjustments, and minor repairs on equipment.
• Follow maintenance schedules and complete routine service checks.
• Identify and report potential issues to reduce equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.

Position Summary

C.R. Jackson, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Preventative Maintenance Technician. This is a hands‑on training opportunity designed for someone looking to build a long‑term career in equipment maintenance.

This position focuses on preventative maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation of company equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and eager to learn in a team‑oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive hands‑on training in heavy equipment preventative maintenance
• Perform inspections, adjustments, and minor repairs on equipment
• Follow maintenance schedules and complete routine service checks

• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment

• Ability to pass background check and drug screening

• Ability to work on uneven terrain and active job sites
• Must remain alert to surroundings including equipment and traffic
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work overtime, nights, and Saturdays as needed
