Job summary

Coastal CAT is seeking a Parts Counter Salesperson to serve as the primary contact for customers seeking heavy equipment parts, supplies, and product information. The role includes parts identification, order processing, inventory coordination, and delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of heavy equipment components, the ability to read diagrams, and experience with inventory and POS systems, enabling efficient support

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school training in diesel technology, mechanics, or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the parts counter, by phone, and via digital channels.
• Identify correct parts using catalogs, diagrams, and internal systems.
• Process orders, returns, and special requests accurately.
• Maintain parts displays, stock levels, and inventory organization.
• Coordinate with service technicians and internal departments to support repair operations.
• Provide pricing, availability, and lead time information to customers.
• Support warehouse functions such as pulling, staging, and shipping parts as needed.
