Scott Bridge Co. is seeking a Shop Equipment Painter to prepare, paint, and finish company-owned heavy equipment, cranes, trucks, trailers, and attachments in the Equipment Shop. The role supports maintaining appearance, protecting value, and efficient shop operations.

The candidate should have experience with surface prep, paint application, and finishing techniques, and be able to operate spray guns, brushes, rollers, and related tools while adhering to safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial painting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of surface prep, paint application and finishing techniques.
• Ability to safely operate spray guns and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and follow shop procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by washing, cleaning, sanding and removing rust or old paint.
• Mask and protect areas not to be painted.
• Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings.
• Paint a variety of heavy equipment and attachments.
• Maintain paint booth, tools, and supplies; monitor paint usage.
• Coordinate with foreman to prioritize work and minimize downtime.
