Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Valid CDL Class B within 6 months of hire; heavy equipment cert desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment used for refuse collection, disposal and compost processing.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance on trucks and equipment; assist with repairs.
• Fuel and clean trucks and equipment; conduct pre/post operation checks.
• Assist with landscaping tasks and general dept. maintenance as needed.
• Maintain daily logbooks for hauling and equipment maintenance.
• Assist in training new employees on heavy equipment operation.
• Transport equipment between sites and respond to snow removal needs.
• Monitor grounds and assist with emergency responses as required.
• Perform other related duties as required.
