Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator (Driver License Required) to operate heavy equipment and remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. This nationwide utility contractor offers competitive wages and an extensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to identify tree and shrub species.
• Familiar with electrical hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, mowers and stump grinders.
• Transport equipment to and from multi-state job locations.
• Install and remove gates, fences, barb wire.
• Install and remove culverts, rocks and base.
• Work on spared rock and base by highways and on ROW.
• Use a chainsaw to cut brush, logs and stumps of larger trees.
• Gathers brush and feeds brush into wood chipper.
• Apply chemical herbicide to ROW following brush removal.
• Operate spray equipment from truck or backpack in remote areas.
• Service truck, chipper, and equipment and maintain them in order.
• Assist senior spray person in mixing herbicide.
• Work around hazardous equipment and noise with protection.
• Work in all temperatures and weather and outdoors.
