Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. in Kingdom City, MO is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate excavators, plows, dozers, trenchers, skid steers, and hydro-vacs on underground utility projects, performing excavation, trenching, grading, and backfilling.

You will read maps and blueprints, inspect equipment, and enforce safety rules in daily jobsite routines. A valid Class A CDL, 1 year of heavy equipment experience, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen are required;

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of heavy equipment operating experience in utility construction or related field.
• Valid Class A CDL with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read utility maps, blueprints, and job plans.
• Ability to pass required background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, plows, dozers, trenchers, skid steers, and hydro-vacs.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling, and utility installation work.
• Load, unload, inspect, and operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret utility maps, construction plans, and job layouts.
• Follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures and participate in jobsite safety meetings.
• Communicate effectively with foremen, supervisors, and crew members.
• Assist and mentor laborers as needed.
