Job summary

McAninch Corporation is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the MV/Telecom Division in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will operate excavators (CAT 345, 349, or 352) on underground utility projects, perform daily inspections, and assist with basic maintenance and site duties.

Position starts at 6:00am, Monday through Saturday, with 50–60 hours per week. Overtime after 40 hours. Benefits include full health/dental/vision coverage and ESOP, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment and proficiency with CAT controls.
• Must have strong safety awareness and ability to work in a team.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavators and other listed heavy equipment.
• Perform light maintenance and daily inspections.
• Assist with site duties and traffic control as needed.
• Maintain clean and hazard-free work areas and participate in safety programs.
