Job summary

CDB Underground Utility Contractors is seeking experienced laborers and equipment operators to join our outdoor crews in the underground utility construction industry in Iowa. Work is 100% outside, exposed to all elements on a project projected to last about a year.

Responsibilities include operating power machinery such as shovels, drills, mini-excavators and backhoes, following digging plans, observing signals, performing daily equipment inspections, and moving materials around the site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating equipment in construction.
• Valid driver's license; Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to perform digging, backfilling, or directional drilling.
• Move materials around the construction site and to/from shop yard.
• Conduct daily maintenance inspections on vehicles and equipment.
• Follow digging plans and safety procedures; observe hand signals and grade stakes.
