Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator at our transfer station. The role involves safe operation of yellow iron equipment, on-site opening/closing, and coordinating truck dumping and loading to meet production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the facility according to scheduled hours of operation.
• Oversees truck scheduling and switching of trailers for dumping.
• Maintains clean public areas per daily/weekly/monthly schedules.
• Ensures customers use the transfer station safely and according to rules.
• Meets loading schedules to ensure driver readiness for production.
• Directs incoming trucks to appropriate unloading areas safely.
• Reports mechanical issues found during inspections to the shop foreman.
