The Role:

As a Part-Time Heavy Equipment Operator Temp at Shenandoah Brewery in Elkton, Virginia, you will be part of the brewery customer service team. Your responsibilities include moving and spotting containers to facilitate warehouse needs, managing inventory, and performing related duties. You will report to the Process Leader of Customer Service and collaborate with warehouse, dispatch, brewery, and packaging departments.

The Responsibilities:

• Operate Yard Truck safely during roll-on/roll-off procedures involving containers.
• Drive Yard Truck safely within plant and storage areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks and report vehicle issues.
• Operate locomotive safely, including staging railcars and verifying rail switch alignments.
• Maintain an organized storage lot to maximize efficiency.
• Interact with plant personnel and adhere to safety requirements.
• Communicate via cellular or radio and update transactions in SAP.
• Prioritize safety and quality in all tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class A CDL License or equivalent experience (2+ years) as yard truck driver/jockey.
• Ability to handle complex projects quickly and collaborate effectively.
