Job summary

M H Masonry Associates Inc is seeking a safety‑conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to operate all‑terrain telehandlers on active construction sites in the Richmond, VA area. You will move, lift, stage, and place materials while following load charts and safety rules.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of heavy equipment experience, a clean driving record, and a willingness to obtain CDL A. We offer competitive pay, bonuses, and benefits in a team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of heavy equipment operating experience on construction sites.
• Experience with all-terrain telehandlers (JLG 1055/1053) and rough-terrain forklifts.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record.
• CDL Class A preferred or willingness to obtain.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment, focusing on all-terrain telehandlers to move, lift, stage, and place materials on active construction sites.
• Operate additional equipment as needed: excavators, skid steers, loaders, dozers, and compactors.
• Transport materials to designated areas with load stability and clear communication with ground crews.
• Read and follow load charts and manufacturer operating limits for telehandler work.
• Perform pre/post-shift inspections and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Assist with grading, trenching, site prep, and equipment support duties as assigned.
• Follow OSHA and site safety procedures at all times.
• Provide general labor support when equipment is not required.
