Job summary

Harsco Environmental is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for our steel and metals recovery plant. You will operate loaders, excavators, skid steers, heavy trucks and cranes to support daily processing activities.

Responsibilities include performing routine pre-start and post-inspections, adhering to all safety guidelines, and collaborating with a team to maintain productivity and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years’ experience as an equipment operator.
• Ability to perform outdoor manual labor in varying weather.
• Good communication and ability to read operating instructions.
• Proactive in safety and works well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, skid steers, trucks and cranes.
• Perform routine pre-start and post-inspections and record activity.
• Follow plant safety guidelines and work collaboratively with the team.
