Job summary

Knife River Corporation, a leading construction and materials company, seeks skilled equipment operators to join its Missoula team. You will operate heavy machinery across various sites, perform daily inspections, and prioritize safety while delivering projects on time.

Candidates should have 3+ years of equipment operation experience, knowledge of grades and elevations, and the ability to handle physical labor in diverse environments. CDL is a plus; pre-employment screenings apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment; 3+ years preferred.
• Knowledge of grades and elevations for construction work.
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push and pull to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily equipment inspections.
• Operate blade, excavator, backhoe, dozer, loader, skid steer, and roller.
• Use equipment for backfilling, loading, excavating, and stockpiling.
• Observe hand signals, markings and grade stakes while operating equipment.
• Operate equipment in tight residential and commercial environments.
• Always work safely and take action to prevent unsafe actions or behaviors.
• Willing to perform physical labor.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
