Job summary

Gray & Son, Inc is seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators for Dozer, Excavator, Loader, Backhoe, and Grader roles in Maryland. The position requires operating large machinery, performing daily maintenance checks, and following safety protocols.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for candidates with at least two years of experience. Join our grading and utility teams on large-scale projects in the Cockeysville area.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment: dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grease equipment and perform morning walk-arounds, fluid checks, and complete daily maintenance logs.
• Operate and control attachments (blades, buckets, scrapers, swing booms) using engine starts, throttles, and levers.
• Align and position machines per stakes, guidelines, and hand signals; coordinate with crew for loads and movements.
• Load and move dirt, rocks, and materials using appropriate heavy equipment and transport vehicles.
• Attend and support foremen during morning huddles and toolbox talks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Foreman or Superintendent.
