Sundt Construction in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to safely run a range of equipment and perform pre-shift maintenance. You will follow plans, read specifications, and maintain quality and safety standards on all assignments.

You will be expected to communicate clearly with crew members, work long shifts, and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding Sundt’s safety policies and productivity targets.

Qualifications

• Three to six years of experience in industrial/construction equipment operation.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards.
• Effective verbal and written communication with crew and supervisors.

Responsabilités

• Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members.
• Produce high quality work safely and productively at all times.
• Provide feedback to ensure materials, tools, equipment and information are available for the work.
• Seek opportunities for improvement in tasks and methods, and learn from others.
• Share knowledge and teach others to uplift the team.
• Demonstrate high proficiency in equipment preventive maintenance.
• Inspect subordinates’ work for accuracy and compliance with plans and specs; address deficiencies.
• Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
