Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Safety-conscious Equipment Operator for construction sites in North Carolina. You will operate cranes, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and related heavy machinery while following OSHA and company safety procedures.

This is a safety-sensitive role requiring attention to detail and reliable performance. Qualified applicants possess a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and experience with a wide variety of construction equipment.

• Experience with a wide variety of construction machinery.
• Knowledge of maintenance of various construction equipment.
• Must be able to take initiative.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

• Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.
• Reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance work on equipment such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Promote a safe work environment and communicate jobsite hazards.
• Operate construction machinery including cranes, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, trucks, and pumps.
• Work on pipeline production performing trenching/excavating per OSHA guidelines.
• Perform backfill procedures and other earthwork.
• Inspect and document heavy equipment and conditions.
