Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate and maintain a range of construction machinery on site. This safety-sensitive role requires adherence to OSHA guidelines and active participation in maintaining a safe, productive jobsite.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and experience with diverse construction equipment. Candidates must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions while working safely on site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Follow safety practices per HP safety/health program.
• Experience with a wide variety of construction machinery.
• Take initiative; attention to detail; follow instructions.
• Workers must provide their own safety footwear.
• Must communicate effectively and professionally.
• Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills.
• Reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on equipment such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Promote a safe work environment and communicate jobsite hazards.
• Operate construction machinery including cranes, dozers, track loaders, rubber tire loaders, track/backhoes, motor graders, trucks, and more.
• Work in pipeline production performing trenching/excavating procedures per OSHA guidelines.
• Perform backfill procedures and other earthwork.
• Inspect and document heavy equipment.
• Promote a safe work environment and communicate jobsite hazards.
