Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Two to five years of similar road or maintenance work experience.
• Must pass drug screening and have CDL Class A with air brakes.

Responsibilities

• Operate bulldozer to redistribute material and clear areas.
• Operate front-end loader to load trucks and move material.
• Operate backhoe/ excavator to dig, lay pipe, and clear drainage.
• Operate motor grader to shape roads and rights-of-way.
• Patch paved roads using various methods.
• Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Assist in reconstructing county bridges.
• Perform daily checks of oil, fluids, and tires.
• Possess valid CDL and comply with safety policies.
