A leading recycling company in Glendale, AZ is seeking a dedicated Equipment Operator to ensure the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery in the recycling yard. This role entails loading and unloading scrap metal, conducting inspections, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and experience with heavy equipment like hydraulic cranes and bucket loaders. Bi-lingual abilities in English and Spanish are a plus. Qualifications

• 1-year experience operating a hydraulic crane and wheeled bucket loader, preferably in scrap metal or construction.
• Ability to carry out written and oral instructions.
• Willingness to learn new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for loading and unloading scrap metal and debris.
• Determine load weights and verify against lifting capacities.
• Identify and grade inbound scrap and reject unacceptable items.
• Drain and remove fluids and gases from vehicles.
• Direct truck drivers for loading and unloading.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues.
• Comply with safety and environmental regulations.
