Job summary

PJ Keating Company, a CRH company, seeks a skilled heavy equipment operator in Massachusetts to operate loaders, excavators and dozers in the quarry yard, ensuring safe and efficient material handling.

Qualifications include High school diploma, Hoisting License 2A, MSHA certification, and a valid driver’s license. Pre-employment physicals, drug testing and background checks are required. The position may require overtime and weekend work, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Hoisting License 2A required.
• MSHA Certification.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Pre-employment physical exam, pre-employment drug testing, and criminal background check are required.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment in a safe and professional manner in the yard area.
• Keeps vehicle clean inside and outside.
• Reports any accident or incident to supervisor.
• Performs pre- and post-trip truck inspections. Fill out daily vehicle condition report.
• Informs Service Technician and supervisor of any maintenance or repairs needed.
• Always wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Keeps load counts.
• Performs all duties safely and in accordance with health and safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains awareness of MSHA regulations.
• Works as a team member with other employees within the crushing operation to ensure smooth operation.
• Ensures crusher is fed consistently.
• Continually drives truck within confines of the quarry to deliver material to crusher and stockpiles.
