Job summary

Crestline Construction in The Dalles, Oregon, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our field team. You will safely operate a range of heavy machines, perform daily maintenance checks, and adapt to changing field conditions on site.

Proficiency with GPS grade control, reading grade stakes and finishing, plus strong earthwork and utility experience, are essential. A valid license with a clean driving record and at least 3 years of hands-on machine operation are required.

Qualifications

• Valid license with clean driving record.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• Minimum 3 years of machinery operating experience.
• Knowledge and competency with each machine type.
• Earthwork and grading experience with mass earthwork and finishing.
• Utility work experience with trenching and pipe setting.

Responsibilities

• Daily checks of fluids, wear parts, tires, glass and general condition; report issues immediately.
• Safely and productively operate assigned machinery and adapt to changing conditions.
• Utilize GPS, read grade stakes and apply grade control for finishing.
• Manage materials for earthwork, loading, placement, grading and utilities.
• Operate a range of machines including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders and trucks.
