Job Responsibilities- Safe operation of a variety of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
- Responsible for daily inspection of equipment and performing basic repair and maintenance as needed to ensure the safe working condition of all equipment.
- Read and understand various types of load charts.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications/ Requirements- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator.
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of a variety of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of routine and preventative maintenance of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures of documentation and record-keeping including operators' books.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
- Knowledge of safe load securing practices/rigging experience is a plus.
- Understanding of hand signals.
- State licensing may be required depending upon the state.
- NCCER certification is a plus.
