Job summary

Halliburton is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to perform earthmoving duties under supervision, including operation of large mining equipment in a structured environment.

The role requires adherence to safety rules, PPE usage, and reliable performance in a mine setting with a 2-year contract and potential extension. Experience with Caterpillar machinery is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years experience operating Caterpillar 637 scrapers, D9 dozers and 140 patrol in a mine setting; or general experience operating Caterpillar D8 dozer and 980 loader in stockpile.
• Must have working knowledge of overburden handling, ore and soil segregation.
• Ability to operate equipment safely.
• Be productive and dependable.
• Willingness to learn and be a team player.
• Ability to pass background and drug screening.
• Operate heavy equipment.
• Machinery/tools used: Mining Equipment.

Job description

The Heavy Equipment Operator, under direct supervision performs earthmoving duties on a daily basis.

• Pay Rate: $26.00 - $28.00/hour, depending on experience
• Assignment Length: 2-year contract with the high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.

Responsibilities

• General knowledge of hydraulic principles.
• Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing PPE.
• Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
