Job summary

Halliburton, a global energy services leader, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to perform earthmoving duties on mine sites under direct supervision. You will rely on your knowledge of overburden handling and ore segregation while applying hydraulic principles to daily tasks.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, at least two years of relevant Caterpillar equipment experience, and a valid driver's license with a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience operating Caterpillar 627 scrapers, D9 dozers and 14 road grader in a mine setting, required or general experience operating Caterpillar D8 dozer and 980 loader in stockpile setting.
• Must have a current and valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Operate earthmoving equipment under direct supervision.
• Handle overburden, ore and soil segregation.
• Apply hydraulic principles knowledge.
• Observe and follow all safety rules and wear PPE.

• Under direct supervision, the Heavy Equipment Operator performs earthmoving duties on a daily basis.
• Must have working knowledge of overburden handling, ore and soil segregation.
• General knowledge of hydraulic principles.
• Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing PPE.
• Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
