Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities
  1. Perform safety inspections at the start and end of each shift.
  2. Operate front-end loaders and excavators safely and efficiently.
  3. Conduct light maintenance on equipment.
  4. Size large steel and concrete materials for recycling processes.
  5. Screen construction and demolition debris for unacceptable materials.
  6. Identify and communicate unacceptable materials on incoming loads.
  7. Coordinate with truck drivers for proper offloading.
  8. Direct inbound loads to appropriate areas.
  9. Assist coworkers with heavy lifting as needed.
  10. Maintain safety, cleanliness, and housekeeping of the facility.
  11. Availability to work occasional Saturdays.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience operating excavators or front-end loaders.
  • Clean driving record and background check.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
