Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for our underground limestone mine at the Fort Calhoun site. Shift: Monday - Friday 6pm to 6am, occasional weekends.

You will operate a variety of mining equipment and perform inspections, maintenance, and support repairs as needed. Valid driver’s license required; bilingual abilities considered a plus.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a role with similar responsibilities.
• Bi-Lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of off-road haul trucks and equipment (scalers, loaders, skid loaders).
• Perform daily inspections of vehicles and work areas.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment; clean equipment.
• Assist on plant maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Other mining related duties as required.

Martin Marietta is currently looking for energized Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at an underground limestone mine at our Fort. Calhoun Mine Location. This position would be responsible for operating a variety of mining equipment, including scalers, haul trucks, loaders and water trucks.

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for operating a variety of off-road haul trucks and other equipment utilized in mining which could include scalers, loaders, skid loaders, etc.
• Perform daily inspection of vehicle and work area assignedObserve visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment; clean equipment
• Assist on plant maintenance and repairs as needed
• Other mining related duties as required

Minimum Education and Experience

• High school Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 1-year previous experience in a role with similar responsibilities
• Bi-Lingual is a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license
