Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Equipment Operator- Matting Solutions to operate heavy equipment safely on major construction projects in North Canton, OH. You will conduct pre/post checks, log usage, and communicate with ground staff, with frequent overtime and travel as required.

You must have a high school diploma, a valid license, and 1–3 years of experience operating heavy equipment on large jobs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment on large construction projects.
• Knowledge of safety hazards in construction and inspection principles.
• Ability to read and interpret access and construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks with documentation per company policies.
• Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain daily logs of equipment usage and maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with site personnel and follow safety practices.
• Ensure heavy equipment is safely stored when not in use.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.
