We are currently seeking to hire a Material Handler/Excavator Operator who shares our values.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Material Handler/Excavator Operator

1. Operate material handler (excavator) with grapple, magnet, and/or shear to move, manage, and organize metals.
2. Identify, handle, sort, and process materials appropriately.
3. Load and unload trucks with metals safely using an excavator.
4. Provide excellent customer service.
5. Perform staging and inspection of materials.
6. Report non-conforming materials.
7. Assist with organization of the steel yard and create space for new products daily.
8. Perform daily safety and maintenance inspections on equipment before operating.

Skills and Experience

1. Ability to operate excavator/material handler accurately, efficiently, and safely.
2. Good communication skills.
3. Attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Experience in scrap metals and/or demolition is a plus.
