Job summary

Select Water Solutions is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate heavy equipment and perform routine maintenance on it. The role reports to the Operations Manager and involves daily coordination, safety oversight, and hands-on equipment expertise.

Ideal candidates will be 21+, hold a valid driver’s license and heavy equipment certification, and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• Must be over 21 years of age.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle.
• Must be certified to operate heavy equipment.
• Exhibit ability to be a strong team player.
• Possess excellent written and verbal skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects amid changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, diesel engine, hydraulic, pump and vacuum equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (dozers, loaders, road grader, excavators) and perform basic maintenance.
• Communicate daily assignments to the Operations Manager.
• Develop short and long site plans with minimal supervision.
• Read slopes and grades (where applicable) and ensure site safety and compliance.
• Schedule and oversee major repairs and maintain maintenance inventory.
• Review daily pre/post-trip reports and correct deficiencies.
