Job summary

Baker School District 5J's BTI seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator Instructor for a 1.0 FTE position in Oregon (Baker City). You will teach equipment operation, safety, and maintenance using simulators and real machines.

Responsibilities include fostering student growth, coordinating with BTI management and other instructors, and aiding recruitment and placement efforts for graduates. A valid ODL is required; CDL preferred; strong teaching and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Oregon Driver License (ODL) in good standing with no restrictions.
• Experience instructing others on how to operate equipment preferred.
• Experience as a heavy equipment operator.

Responsibilities

• Instruct heavy equipment operation, safety, and basic maintenance to students.
• Establishes safety and welfare of students.
• Collaborate with BTI management and other instructors to improve the program and student experience.
• Build environment for student self-esteem and positive self-image.
• Maintain positive attitude toward job duties and teamwork.
• Assist in recruitment of new students and placement for graduates.
