Job summary

City of Lubbock seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to service its water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role requires operating large machinery safely and efficiently on municipal sites.

You will operate backhoes, dump trucks, loaders, excavators, and support vehicles, perform routine maintenance, and adhere to safety and regulatory standards while following written and oral instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with an additional 2 years of progressive experience on listed equipment.
• Texas CDL Class A Driver's License.
• Physical exam required.

Responsibilities

• Operate backhoe (greater than 5 feet), dump truck, front end loader, skid steer, excavator, valve truck, volumetric concrete mixer and similar equipment.
• Operate attachments and equipment on vehicles.
• Perform related duties as directed.
