Gerdau North America in Minot, ND is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to load/unload trucks and railcars, operate cranes, and ensure scrap is prepared to spec. You will perform inspections and preventive maintenance, contributing to safe yard operations and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile/magnet cranes to process and move scrap materials.
• Load/unload trucks and railcars in the yard.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.

Heavy Equipment Operator | Gerdau

Safety-driven operator with hands-on experience running mobile cranes, magnet cranes, and shears to process and move scrap materials efficiently. I support daily yard operations by loading and unloading trucks and railcars, preparing scrap to spec, and maintaining equipment through inspections and preventive maintenance. Known for strong teamwork, problem-solving, and a commitment to Gerdau’s safety, environmental, and core values.
