Job summary

A non-profit organization is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support the safe operation of machinery at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. The successful candidate will operate various tractor equipment and perform maintenance and safety checks on machinery. Candidates with a high school diploma and a minimum of 1 year experience in groundskeeping are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, entry-level position with a base pay of $22.69/hr and offers comprehensive benefits including PTO and medical coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in groundskeeping or landscaping.
• Preferred to possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor equipment safely to minimize risks.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Maintain operational equipment through inspections and repairs.
