Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set an example of workplace safety; utilize all personal protective equipment required for each project site
• Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life
• Operate Bulldozers, Excavators, and Motor Graders
• Operate support equipment such as front-end loaders, rubber tire backhoes, mini-excavators, skid steers, off-road trucks, rollers, etc.
• Knowledge of GPS equipment including machine control & GPS rover
• Perform preventive equipment maintenance (including greasing, checking & maintaining oil/fluid levels, filters, etc.)
• Properly secure equipment each day

Training and Experience

• Ability to operate Bulldozers, Excavators, and Motor Graders efficiently
• Ability to operate support equipment well (including front-end loader, rubber tire backhoe, mini-excavator, skid steer, off-road truck, roller, etc.)
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications

Physical Requirements

• Must be physically able to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
• Work involves sitting, walking, or standing for extended periods
• Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of five to fifty pounds
