Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy earthmoving equipment in commercial or residential construction.
• Proficiency operating excavators (trackhoes), bulldozers, graders, and loaders.
• Experience operating rollers, skid steers, and other compact equipment.
• Experience loading haul trucks and performing mass earthmoving operations.
• Experience digging utility trenches and working around underground utilities.
• Experience with finish grading, road construction, and building pad preparation.
• Knowledge of GPS machine control systems, including Trimble or Topcon.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to report equipment issues.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment on construction projects.
• Excavate trenches and dig ditches for utilities with proper grading and safety.
• Perform channel lining, drainage, and erosion control work.
• Backfill trenches, build pads, and grade for roads and sites.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Use GPS machine control to achieve accurate grading and excavation.
• Maintain equipment in safe, clean condition.
• Coordinate with supervisors to complete projects on schedule.
• Follow all safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
