Job summary

Capital Paving and Construction seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator in Springfield, MO. Responsibilities include safe operation of dozers, graders, scrapers, and related equipment, plus routine maintenance and communication with the team. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather and lift up to 50 lbs. CDL is a plus; travel may be required.

Full-time, benefit-eligible position with competitive wages and comprehensive benefits. Prior heavy equipment experience is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment required.
• Punctual, strong work ethic and good attendance.
• Ability to work as part of a team on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently under varying conditions.
• Use scrapers, heavy graders, motor graders, blades and other heavy gear as directed.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment clean.
• Communicate daily job specifications with foreman and coworkers.
• Operate powered and non-powered hand tools as needed.
• Be flexible to take on other duties assigned by management.
