Job summary

InfiniSource Consulting Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for Fort Bragg, NC. The role involves operating cranes, clamshells, bulldozers, forklifts, and other heavy gear, reading grade stakes and simple plans, and performing routine maintenance.

You must hold a valid U.S. CDL, be able to work weekends/overtime, and maintain NAC clearance. Work is outdoors or in sheltered environments with occasional travel to off-site projects.

Qualifications

  • Proficient PC use with Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to read grade and slope stakes and basic plans.
  • Must obtain and maintain NAC clearance.
  • Valid U.S. commercial driver's license.
  • Ability to work under stress and long hours.

  • Operate straight trucks and trailers of various tonnages.
  • Operate forklifts to transport goods within facilities.
  • Operate all listed heavy equipment (cranes, RTCH, etc).
  • Submit forms for travel clearances and periodic reports.
  • Be able to perform other duties as required by supervisor.

The Heavy Equipment Operator operates heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scraper attachments. Equipment is used to excavate, load, or move dirt, gravel, or other materials. Operator may read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans, and may grease, adjust and make emergency repairs to equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with prescribed technical manuals.
  • Operate a straight truck, over 4 tons, usually 10 wheels.
  • Operate a trailer having one or several sets of wheels at the rear only, with the forward portion being supported by the truck tractor or towing vehicle.
  • Operate a straight truck, less than 1½ tons, usually 4 wheels.
  • Operate a straight truck, 1½ to 4 tons inclusive, usually 6 wheels.
  • Operate a manually controlled gasoline, electric or liquid propane gas powered forklift to transport goods and materials within a warehouse, manufacturing plant, or other establishment.
  • Operate all heavy equipment (cranes, RTCH, etc).
  • Accurately complete and submit associated forms for travel clearances.
  • Submit data for periodic reports as required.
  • Be able to perform other duties as required by supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Must be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (primarily Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Windows graphical user interface) and Data/web based systems required for task area performing work.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Army rank structure and military unit relationships (e.g., Company, Battalion, Brigade, Division, etc).
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions and be physically able to demonstrate the training/support tasks to standard.
  • Must have the appropriate qualifications, certification, and/or license under the requirements for the task area being performed under this contract prior to commencement of work.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check (NAC).

Must possess a valid U.S. commercial driver’s license, applicable for the type and class of vehicle being operated.
