Job summary

S&B USA Construction in Portsmouth, VA, is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team building bridges, tunnels, and highways across the Mid-Atlantic. Applicants should have experience with excavation, trenching, pipe setting, and loading trucks; safety and quality are our standard on every project.

Responsibilities include operating dozers, excavators, and skid steers safely, while performing basic preventive maintenance and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving history.
• Experience operating dozers, excavators, and skid steers.
• Ability to pass drug test.
• Position located in Portsmouth, Virginia area.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Workers must provide their own safety footwear.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Saturdays are required periodically.

Responsibilities

• Safely and skillfully operate various equipment including dozers, excavators and skid steers.
• Maintain equipment in proper operating condition by performing simple preventative maintenance and repair tasks.
• Perform tasks in a safe and accident-free manner.
