Job summary

FCC Environmental Services is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate excavators, wheel loaders, and material handlers in support of concrete crushing, recycling, and material recovery operations.

The role requires 3+ years of experience with heavy equipment and a strong safety mindset. You will contribute to loading trucks, sorting materials, and performing routine maintenance while keeping the work area organized and compliant with site rules.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating excavators, wheel loaders, compactors, dozers and material handlers.
• Strong commitment to safety and preventive equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Load customer dump trucks with recycled aggregate materials.
• Load transfer trailers with C&D debris and single-stream recyclable materials.
• Load ferrous scrap metal into dump trailers for transport.
• Sort, stockpile, and move concrete, asphalt, scrap metal, C&D, and recyclable materials throughout the facility.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine preventive maintenance, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Direct customers to the proper location by material for offloading.
• Work safely around crushers, conveyors, truck traffic, and other heavy equipment while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
• Direct customers to the proper location by material for offloading.
