Job summary

housleygroup in Texas is seeking an experienced construction equipment operator to run heavy machinery including excavators, backhoes, trenchers, and directional boring rigs. You will perform ditching, trenching, and backfilling, and read blueprints to guide municipal water/sewer work on site.

Candidates must pass background checks and drug screening, endure strenuous work in varying weather, and may travel to out-of-town jobs. CDL is a plus; overtime and some weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy equipment used in construction and repair.
• Must be able to perform strenuous labor and work in extreme weather.

Responsibilities

• This position is part of a construction crew and requires punctuality and carrying own weight.
• Follow safety rules and OSHA guidelines at all times.
• Cross-trained to perform all functions to build or repair municipal water and sewer lines.
• Operate backhoes, large excavators, trenchers and hand tools on projects.
• Overtime and travel may be required.
