Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Operator in the United States to operate equipment as directed while adhering to Mortenson safety policies and procedures.

You will manage a range of machinery, perform routine maintenance, follow pre-task plans, and maintain clean work areas. The role requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience, equipment certifications, and a valid driver's license, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Equipment certifications are required.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Current driver's license with applicable endorsements as required by law.
• Strong teamwork orientation and professional customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, manuals, and load charts.
• Good math skills and ability to operate equipment by manipulating levers, gears, pedals, and steering.
• Ability to work independently with good listening and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as blade, dozer, loader, scraper, forklift/telehandler, crane, bobcat/skid-steer, boom lifts and other listed machinery.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work area.
• Perform routine maintenance, observe equipment operation, and detect malfunctions.
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards.
• Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
