Job summary

The Walsh Group, Archer Western, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the WEGA/WB Casey WWRF Biosolids project in Jonesboro, GA. The role involves operating a variety of heavy equipment at the worksite to build, maintain, or repair infrastructure, while following safety policies and procedures.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of operating experience, can lift up to 50 lbs, and are prepared to work in varied weather conditions, with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of operating experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of Equipment to complete tasks such as clearing land, trimming backfill, and to move and/or transport materials such as dirt, rocks, and other types of aggregate.
• Must have knowledge of operating procedures as it pertains to loading and unloading materials.
• May oil, grease, service, and make normal maintenance adjustments on equipment; performs daily safety and maintenance checks; completes paperwork and other documentation as required.
• May be some vibration associated with equipment operation; jolts and vibrations may result from operating equipment; loud noise when operating equipment.
• May perform other related duties as required.

OVERVIEW

Archer Western, a member of the Walsh Group is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the WEGA/WB Casey WWRF Biosolids, in Jonesboro, GA.

Primary function is to operate a variety of Heavy Equipment at the site of work to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building type structures; equipment operators are also expected to assist in other duties around the jobsite as needed; operates equipment in compliance with company operating safety, policies, and procedures.

RESPONSABILIDADES

• Puede engrasar, lubricar, dar servicio y hacer ajustes normales de mantenimiento al equipo; realiza controles diarios de seguridad y mantenimiento; completa el papeleo y otra documentación según sea necesario.


• Puede haber alguna vibración asociada con el funcionamiento del equipo; pueden producirse sacudidas y vibraciones al operar el equipo; ruido fuerte al operar el equipo.


• Puede realizar otras tareas relacionadas según sea necesario.

CALIFICACIONES

• Se prefiere de 3 a 5 años de experiencia operativa


• Debe poder levantar hasta 50 libras; puede ser requerido para trabajar en varias condiciones climáticas
