Responsibilities include pre/post-operation inspections, routine maintenance, and adherence to safety policies. Collaboration with foremen and crew is essential, with overtime or weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Proven ability to safely operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders and other machinery.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; CDL may be required depending on project.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, trenchers, and backhoes safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily pre-operation and post-operation inspections and complete documentation.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any issues to supervisors.
• Dig trenches, grade surfaces, move materials, and backfill excavations per blueprints and specs.
• Adhere to safety policies (OSHA, MSHA) and communicate project needs to foremen and crew.
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and project documents for accurate work.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and equipment; assist ground crew as needed.
• Work in varying weather conditions and weekend/holiday demands.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including, but not limited to, excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, trenchers, and backhoes in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform daily pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment and complete necessary documentation.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks (e.g., checking fluid levels, greasing) and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to supervisors.
• Safely and accurately dig trenches, grade surfaces, move materials, and backfill excavations according to project specifications and blueprints.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant regulations (OSHA, MSHA, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with foremen, supervisors, and other crew members regarding project progress, potential hazards, and equipment needs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and other project documents to ensure accurate execution of work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Assist ground crew with manual labor when equipment operation is not required.
• Work in varying weather conditions and outdoor environments.

Job Qualifications
