Turner Industries is seeking a Dirt Equipment Operator for a position in the Lake Charles, LA area. The Heavy Equipment Operator operates power-driven machinery used to move dirt or other materials, reporting to the Foreman or Site Manager.

This non-exempt role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid TWIC card, and successful completion of background checks and drug tests. Per diem is not available; DISA checks may apply.

Formación

• High school or equivalent.
• Must have a valid TWIC card in hand
• No per diem available
• NCCER is preferable but not necessary
• Requires DISA background check and DISA drug test
• General knowledge of civil construction and excavation
• General knowledge of maintaining level grade at defined elevations
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Responsabilidades

• Moves hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline or steam-powered operating equipment; interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed; reads and interprets load charts; may assemble or disassemble equipment or material on construction projects; may be required to manipulate equipment on un-level working surfaces; may perform maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines/equipment.
