Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH company, is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate loaders, backhoes, excavators, haul trucks, and other heavy construction equipment in Utah. The role emphasizes safe, efficient operation and may include training for qualified candidates.

You will work at CRH sites across Tooele and surrounding areas, perform basic maintenance, help with trenching and road work, and support laborers as needed. A valid driver's license and MSHA certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Valid driver’s license; MSHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards.
• Keep time and material records.
• Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
• Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
• Travel between locations as needed.
• May assist Laborer at various job sites as needed; may perform pipe/utility work and road construction tasks.
