Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous heavy equipment operation experience or training preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short memos and notices.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and basic maintenance or refer major problems.
• Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards.
• Keep time and material records.
• Understand aggregate sizes and load weight requirements.
• Travel between sites as needed.
